Product Group Manager, Retail Cards
Description
Summary:
The Product Group Manager – Retail Cards develops and leads the strategic direction for data management practices that support analytics, business intelligence, and reporting across the Retail Cards team. This role establishes and maintains the processes, standards, controls, and operating routines needed to ensure data used for analytics and reporting is discoverable, well-defined, fit for purpose, appropriately governed, and aligned to enterprise data management expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Retail Cards data management strategy for analytics and reporting.
- Establish priorities for data inventory, sourcing, lineage, metadata, quality, and controls.
- Partner with business, technology, risk, and governance teams to define requirements and resolve data issues.
- Monitor and improve data quality, completeness, timeliness, and reporting reliability.
- Maintain documentation including business definitions, data flows, owners, and report dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies, privacy requirements, access controls, and governance standards.
- Lead data modernization initiatives including data pipelines, reporting platforms, dashboards, and data catalog adoption.
- Manage or influence analysts, data stewards, BI professionals, and technical partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or related functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting analytics, reporting, business intelligence, financial services, risk, or regulatory reporting.
- Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, controls, and trusted reporting practices.
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and remediate data issues.
- Experience leading data, analytics, or reporting initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with enterprise data platforms and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Python).
- Strong partnership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Results-oriented with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Candid and concise communication skills
- Must be savvy and passionate about driving results and innovation
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
