About this Role

Quanta Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Project controls to lead the cost, schedule, and performance management functions across the supply chain manufacturing projects. This role establishes the systems, standards, and reporting that give project and executive leadership a clear, accurate view of project health — from budget and forecast to schedule and risk. The ideal candidate is a seasoned controls professional who can operate at both the program level and in the details, mentoring a team while partnering closely with project managers and finance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead project controls across a portfolio of projects, owning cost management, scheduling, forecasting, change management, and progress reporting.
  • Design, build, and maintain project controls dashboards that give project teams and executives real-time visibility into cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines, and manage variance analysis against those baselines.
  • Establish standardized project controls processes, tools, and reporting templates, and drive consistent adoption across teams.
  • Lead change-order and claims analysis, quantifying cost and schedule impacts and supporting negotiations.
  • Identify, quantify, and track project risks; support risk mitigation planning and contingency management.
  • Deliver clear, timely reporting and interactive dashboards to project managers, executives, and clients.
  • Partner with finance, procurement, and operations to ensure alignment between project controls data and financial reporting.
  • Provide technical oversight on testing scopes, commissioning activities, and quality reviews;
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable standards and safety regulations; and
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 8–12 years of project controls experience on large construction or infrastructure projects, including team leadership.
  • Deep expertise in cost control, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and CPM scheduling.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and controls tools such as Primavera P6, and cost/ERP systems.
  • Proven experience building dashboards and reporting in tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple fast-paced projects with competing deadlines;
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass background and pre-employment drug screening; and
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to project sites across assigned regions during active project phases.
