Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Johnston Function: Accounting and Finance (CA) Title: Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Lead - 122604 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Lead for JD Financial Worldwide Headquarters located in Johnston, Iowa, you will:

  • Serve as the primary technical lead for financial reporting, consolidations, and SEC reporting, ensuring accurate, transparent and compliant financial reporting
  • Drive accounting policy governance and technical accounting initiatives, including policy development, technical research, accounting position papers, and technical training
  • Partner with leaders across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and external audit to navigate strategic accounting and reporting issues, advise on accounting for complex transactions and new business activities, and address emerging U.S. GAAP requirements
  • Advance transformation across accounting policy, reporting, and consolidation processes through automation, process improvement, and technical expertise

What Skills You Need

  • 7 or more years of accounting or audit experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience researching complex accounting topics
  • Experience preparing or reviewing US GAAP audited financial statements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive) license
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience at a global public accounting firm and/or public company
  • Financial services experience

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent related
