As a UK HNI- Senior Associate, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy within our Tax practice. You will help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, grow your personal brand, and deepen your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and deliver quality work. Embracing increased ambiguity, you will be comfortable when the path forward isn’t clear, using these moments as opportunities to grow.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will review and analyze financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimizing risks of non-compliance. You will leverage a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. Your ability to interpret data to inform insights and recommendations will be crucial. You will also uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, contributing to the firm's overall business strategies.

Responsibilities

- Analyzing and validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Preparing and reviewing US Individual tax returns, including Form 1040 and related foreign filings
- Utilizing advanced understanding of US Foreign Trust filing requirements and cross-border tax implications
- Leading client meetings to discuss tax positions and address open items
- Developing and maintaining meaningful client relationships to anticipate and meet their needs
- Collaborating with team members to enhance tax technical knowledge and share insights
- Monitoring and analyzing financial data to inform tax strategies and recommendations
- Keeping up-to-date with IRS technical and legislative changes to provide accurate guidance
- Facilitating training sessions on tax technology and tools to improve team efficiency
- Managing project timelines and deliverables to meet deadlines during peak periods
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members in technical and organizational aspects
- Communicating effectively with clients to update them on engagement progress and outcomes

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
- At least 3 to 6 years of experience and 2 years of review experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

-Advanced understanding of US Individual tax returns (1040) and intermediate understanding of US Foreign Trust filing requirements (Form 3520) and other foreign filings on US individual tax returns (Form 8865, basic 5471, 8621, 926 etc)

- Preparation of Tax Returns/workpaper preparation (Pdf and excel), made ready for Sen.Associate/Manager/Senior manager review

 - Make the most of the opportunities for technical development through on the job learning and exposure

-Validate data and analyze for accuracy and relevance

-Produce high quality of work which adheres to the relevant professional standards

-Think broadly and ask relevant questions and communicate open items with clients in a timely manner while leading Kick-off/Status calls. Abilty to identify problems/information needed at the start to ensure tax returns can get finalized in a timely manner

-Develop knowledge of the firm’s line of service capabilities and our portfolio offerings

-Keep up-to-date with tax technical / technology developments

- Keep up to date with IRS technical and legislative changes

-Ability to pick up and learn about new tax technology being implemented across the AC and UK firms

- Ability to understand cross border tax implications, and a client tax position across multiple countries to correctly arrive at the final tax position on a US return. Ability to understand and decipher a tax treaty is helpful

 - Understanding of US non resident taxation and the treaty rates to use and which income to consider on a US return
