Job Description:

As a System Tester/Final Functional Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Hitachi Rail Romania's products and systems. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive tests to validate functionality, performance, and overall system integrity before final deployment.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications and system requirements.
* Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing for various rail solutions and components.
* Identify, document, and track software defects and anomalies using established bug tracking systems.
* Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
* Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
* Participate in the review of requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide early feedback on testability.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and provide technical assistance as needed.
* Maintain and update test environments and test data.
* Adhere to company quality standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Proven experience in software testing, particularly in system testing or final functional testing roles.
* Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
* Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM).
* Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
* Experience in the railway industry or with complex embedded systems is a strong advantage.
* Knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Selenium) is a plus.
* ISTQB certification is desirable.
