We are looking for a commercially minded Real Estate Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, and risk activities across the division. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making and Real Estate portfolio growth.

Strategic Planning & Business Support

  • Contribute to the development and execution of divisional strategies and KPIs.
  • Support strategic store reviews through financial and commercial analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to support store renewals, relocations, rightsizing initiatives, and new store opportunities.
  • Support management with financial planning and long-term decision-making.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage and monitor divisional budgets, expenses, forecasts, and projects.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, analysis, and cost control.
  • Prepare management reports, financial updates, and quarterly board packs.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Track and report on budget variances and key financial risks.

Research & Commercial Analysis

  • Conduct feasibility studies for potential store opportunities.
  • Analyse market developments, commercial metrics, rental opportunities, and capital expenditure requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on store viability and commercial returns.
  • Monitor progress of feasibility studies and strategic initiatives

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and report on financial and operational risks.
  • Recommend mitigating actions to support sound business decision-making.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key liaison between the Real Estate team and landlords.
  • Influence business decisions through sound financial advice and commercial insight.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly to support informed decision-making.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and manage a team of Real Estate Finance Clerks
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)

3 to 4 years' Commercial Business Finance experience.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.

Exposure to commercial or real estate environments will be advantageous.
