Key Responsibilities:
- EDA Tool Support: Provide comprehensive support for EDA tools (e.g., Ansys, Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics), including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- CAD Environment Management: Develop, manage, and optimize CAD environments to meet the needs of the design team, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Dashboard Development and Support: Develop, maintain, and enhance engineering dashboards that provide visibility into project status, EDA license usage, cluster utilization, infrastructure health, issue tracking, and operational metrics for leadership and engineering teams.
- AI Enablement and Automation: Support the development and adoption of AI-enabled tools, agents, and automation workflows that improve EDA support, knowledge retrieval, license monitoring, operational triage, and productivity across semiconductor design teams.
- Materials Infrastructure Support: Provide technical support for materials modeling and simulation infrastructure, including tools, compute environments, data access, workflow support, and coordination with engineering users working on materials and semiconductor technology initiatives.
- LSF Cluster Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the LSF simulation cluster, ensuring optimal resource allocation and job scheduling efficiency.
- Revision Control System Management: Manage and maintain revision control systems (e.g., Git, SVN), ensuring version control best practices are followed and supporting the design team in code management.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to EDA tools, CAD environments, LSF clusters, and revision control systems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring design productivity.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts, services, and data pipelines to automate routine operational tasks, integrate enterprise data sources, improve dashboard reliability, and streamline design infrastructure workflows.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers to understand their needs and provide proactive support to enhance their productivity.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for CAD processes, EDA tool support, LSF configurations, dashboard workflows, AI-enabled support tools, materials infrastructure procedures, revision control workflows, and best practices.
- Training and Support: Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to design team members to enhance their proficiency with EDA tools and systems.
- IT Infrastructure Coordination: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure robust network connectivity, data storage solutions, and system security for design environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest developments in EDA tools, AI automation, dashboard platforms, materials modeling infrastructure, LSF cluster management, and revision control systems, recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in EDA tool support, CAD environment management, or a similar role in the semiconductor industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Ansys, Mentor Graphics), LSF cluster management, Linux/Unix environments, revision control systems (e.g., Git, SVN), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Shell), dashboard development, database-driven reporting, API integration, and AI-assisted automation workflows.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
