POSITION: Banquet Server
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Banquet Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt- Part Time-Hourly
- Assist in maintaining, organizing, and cleaning all catering equipment.
- Ensure all event signage is properly displayed.
- Set up tables, chairs, and catering areas as assigned by the Catering Supervisor or Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set glassware, silverware, dinnerware, and additional event necessities according to event specifications.
- Maintain catered areas in a clean, sanitary, and organized condition throughout events.
- Serve guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of catering areas following events.
- Support overall event operations while maintaining high guest-service standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure compliance with service standards.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with guests, clients, and team members at all levels.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended business hours as needed.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional guest service with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, banquet service standards, guest relations, and hospitality etiquette preferred.
- Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including frequent reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.

Compensation: In accordance with Virginia law, the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $16.00–$17.00 per hour.
