Job Objective
Join DBS's Hong Kong Technology team as a Technical Business Analyst to define, develop, test, analyze, and deliver business requirements supporting our business objectives. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with strong HK CASA and payment domain knowledge, and hands-on capability in Core banking plus payment gateway maintenance. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technology strategy and delivering scalable, high-performing, and secure payment solutions for our customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and operations teams to define payment and core banking requirements.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Work with developers to design and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, use cases, and technical specifications, ensuring business initiatives and industry mandates are properly translated and captured.
- Oversee UAT, live verification, and post-implementation monitoring to ensure technical changes are delivered with satisfactory results.
- Support production activities, including regular maintenance and technology upgrades, change request management, and technical support involving Linux shell scripts, Linux commands, Java applications, IBM MQ, and IBM Connect:Direct file transfer setup.
- Assist with application troubleshooting, incident analysis, log review, script execution checks, queue/message flow investigation, file transmission issue analysis, and debugging.
- Work within highly collaborative teams to build high-quality technology solutions.
Job Requirements
- University degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant work experience will be a significant advantage.
- 7–10 years of experience in software development, technical business analysis, or application support within the banking or financial services sector, with hands-on exposure to Java, Linux shell scripting, Linux commands, IBM MQ, IBM Connect:Direct, SQL, and related payment system technologies. Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Vice President.
- Practical experience in production support, including monitoring batch jobs, reviewing application logs, executing or validating shell scripts, checking Linux server processes, and coordinating with infrastructure or application teams for issue resolution, is preferred.
- Knowledge of IBM MQ queue setup, message flow support, connectivity troubleshooting, and IBM Connect:Direct file transmission setup, monitoring, and issue handling will be an advantage.
- Project management and senior business analyst experience, including preparing specifications, system design documents, system testing, and user acceptance testing support, is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve unstructured problems.
- Good presentation and communication skills, with proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
