Función

Asegurar que todo el herramental que se instala en las máquinas cumpla con las especificaciones establecidas con base a los requerimientos de operación, políticas y procedimientos definidos para asegurar la continuidad del proceso productivo.

Job Summary:**

Fabricas Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a skilled Tool Room Mechanic to maintain, repair, and fabricate precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and the quality of our products.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform preventative maintenance on existing tooling, including cleaning, inspecting, and sharpening components.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair solutions.
* Repair and rebuild worn or damaged tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to precise specifications.
* Fabricate new tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions using various machining and hand tools.
* Operate conventional and CNC machinery such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
* Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
* Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling designs and processes.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining, tool and die making, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Tool Room Mechanic or Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Strong understanding of machining principles, tool materials, and heat treatment processes.
* Skilled in operating conventional machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, grinders) and precision measuring instruments.
* Experience with CNC machine operation and programming is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
