SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER Redwire Corporation is a global space and defense technology company building the infrastructure of the future and delivering multi-domain solutions. We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the production lifecycle. The role is focused on developing control plans, managing non-conformance processes, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with relevant teams to analyse problems and determine root causes.
- Conduct root cause analysis process and implement corrective actions as quickly and efficiency as possible.
- Meeting with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters.
- Monitor quality performance and conformance throughout the product lifecycle, from design to customers.
- Carry out product and process auditing.
- Evaluate/create work instructions and recommend changes to ensure compliance.
- Communicates professionally at all levels of the organization based on collected data, established facts, draws valid conclusions and provide solutions.
- Identifies, communicates and escalates issues as required.
- Create and maintain quality documentation, ensure documents are accessible and up to date.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards: ISO 9001, EN9100, ISO14001 and other applicable regulations.
- Offer observations or improvements after quality data analysis and overall product quality.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality processes across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanics or electronics).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role and understanding of quality management processes.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and cooperation skills.
- High accuracy and attention to the detail.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical systems, electronics and software.
- Familiarity with quality tools, techniques and blue print reading.
- Proficiency of MS Office and MS Dynamics.
- Experience in working with quality methods: 8D methodology, CAPA, FMEA, APQP.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
- Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to independently determine approach and assigned tasks, proactive with minimal supervision.
