MEDICAL ASSISTANT
The Medical Assistant thrives in a fast-paced, paperless urgent care environment where providing exceptional patient care is the top priority. In this role, you'll support patients throughout their visit by taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, assisting providers with procedures, and ensuring a smooth clinic workflow.
As a patient-centered, modern urgent care practice, we primarily treat lower-acuity conditions while delivering high-quality, compassionate care. We're looking for a dependable, flexible team member who is available to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Welcome, room, and prepare patients for examination.
- Obtain vital signs, collect patient histories, and assist with triage.
- Clean and stock exam rooms to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Assist providers with procedures, including incision and drainage, laceration repair, and wound care.
- Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes.
- Perform ear lavages, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Conduct point-of-care laboratory testing, including:
- Urinalysis
- Urine pregnancy testing
- Blood glucose testing
- Monospot testing
- Rapid strep testing
- Influenza testing
- Support front desk operations and perform receptionist duties when needed.
- Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) training and certification to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
- Collaborate with providers and fellow team members to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
ABOUT YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (except where state law allows an exemption based on experience, diploma, and/or national certification).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Willingness to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) certification.
- One or more years of Medical Assistant experience in an urgent care setting preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for creating a welcoming, compassionate, and positive patient experience.
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the team and patient care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently when needed.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexible availability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays

Pay range: $21 -25.51 USD per hour
