Job Description
Role Purpose
The Director will lead the development and execution of on-platform promo strategy for Peacock content, with a focus on driving audience engagement, optimizing the viewer journey, and maximizing impact of owned media across the platform. The Director is responsible for translating programming priorities into strategic, data-driven media plans for all Peacock Originals.
This role owns how promo is surfaced on Peacock, defining placement, prioritization, and exposure across the full user journey to maximize the impact of owned media.
Critical to this role is the ability to manage the trafficking system that delivers campaigns, ensuring the media plans are accurately reflecting the expected user experience.
The Director leads and develops a team responsible for campaign planning, trafficking, and ongoing optimization, ensuring flawless execution in a fast-faced environment.
Sitting at the intersection of content marketing, platform usage, and audience strategy, this role connects media planning and performance insights into a cohesive executional framework applied across all Peacock content.
Responsibilities
- Own media planning for Peacock content (Originals, P1 films, Next-Day content, acquired series) translating content priorities into deliverables against audience needs and strategic placements.
- Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, ensuring alignment from campaign planning, to trafficking, to platform delivery.
- Translate audience journey strategies into specific promo tactics by managing content exposure across discovery, engagement, and retention stages.
- Ensure promos trafficked in FreeWheel are scheduled accurately and create operational efficiency by working closely with Ad Ops.
- Execute Next-Day content priorities for NBC, Bravo and Sports. Ensure goals are met and adjust based on performances.
- Lead campaign optimization using performance data to adjust promo weight, placement strategy, and engagement tactics.
- Partner with analytics team to evaluate engagement trends, content performance and conversion effectiveness.
- Manage and develop a team responsible for campaign planning, trafficking, and optimization, driving speed, precision, and accountability.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- 6+ years in the entertainment media planning space, preferably in streaming
- Demonstrated experience owning campaign execution from planning through trafficking and delivery
- Hands-on experience with campaign trafficking systems (e.g. FreeWheel or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of streaming platforms, content surfacing, and audience engagement metrics
- Experience managing high-volume campaign execution and fast-paced planning cycles
- Strong understanding of media metrics (Nielsen, AMRLD data) to translate data into action
- Comfortable with 3rd party measurement and the rigor associated
- Ability to work on ad hoc projects and on weekends with short notice

- Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
