We are looking for motivated, goal-oriented, and hard-working individuals who thrive in challenging environments to join our team!ABOUT THE JOB:Job Title:  Traveling Superintendent - (Job-Site Project Supervisor)Location: Chesapeake VA with travel to job sites (75%+ Travel to US and International Job Sites)Reports To: General Manager/Project ManagerJob Overview:The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for coordinating and supervising all on-site activities necessary for the successful execution of shipboard projects. This includes oversight of both company personnel and subcontractors, with flexibility to adjust plans as needed to maintain progress. The Superintendent serves as the primary point of contact for the field, ensuring the Project Manager is consistently informed of site developments and any issues that may impact project timelines. Daily responsibilities include maintaining detailed records of work performed, communications, challenges encountered, and upcoming tasks to support proactive planning and smooth operations across multiple job sites.Responsibilities:Shipboard Supervision: Provide daily leadership and direction for all on-site project personnel, ensuring work is performed by the approved procedures. Maintain lines of communication with the customer contact to confirm activities are fully coordinated. Monitor overtime, attendance, and daily meetings while setting clear expectations for performance.Project Management: Responsible for ensuring project maintains schedule, adjusting as necessary and tracking daily, weekly, monthly goals.Documentation: Prepare detailed records of daily activities, weather conditions, personnel on site, issues and communications. Maintain an ongoing project manual to include drawings, the current project schedule, QA records, customer signoffs and daily reports. Provide Project Manager with regular updates on progress and any potential disruptions to the project schedule.Problem Solving: Monitor crew activities, equipment operations and adjacent shipboard operations.
