About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a National Key Account Manager to drive the success of Takeda’s pharmaceutical portfolio across strategic healthcare accounts. In this role, you will maximise patient access, utilisation, and outcomes by building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, developing impactful account strategies, and delivering business objectives within budget.

As a trusted partner to healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations, you will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, creating value-based solutions, and ensuring Takeda remains a preferred partner in improving patient care.

How You Will Contribute

  • Develop and execute strategic key account plans based on customer insights, market dynamics, and account priorities.

  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with healthcare stakeholders, decision-makers, and strategic accounts.

  • Deliver agreed account objectives, KPIs, and business targets while managing budgets effectively.

  • Identify customer needs and collaborate with stakeholders to co-create solutions that improve patient outcomes and add value.

  • Support the implementation of innovative products and services that differentiate Takeda in the marketplace.

  • Provide healthcare professionals with appropriate support and education on Takeda’s products and services.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer insights, and healthcare developments, sharing relevant intelligence internally.

  • Partner closely with Medical, Market Access, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure aligned customer engagement and account success.

  • Support local access initiatives, including formulary and protocol inclusion, in collaboration with Market Access colleagues.

  • Lead account team discussions, track progress against plans, and ensure accountability for agreed actions.

  • Analyse business performance and account outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Continuously refine account strategies to adapt to changing market conditions and optimise results.

  • Act as an ambassador for Takeda’s values, culture, and commitment to patients.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with compliance, ethical, and legal requirements.

What You Bring to Takeda

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.

  • At least 1 year of experience working with key account within a hospital and/or specialty care environment.

  • Experience managing relationships across multiple healthcare stakeholder groups and customer types.

  • Previous key account management or strategic account management experience is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and pharmaceutical market environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant therapy areas and pharmaceutical products.

  • Proven ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term execution and results delivery.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.

  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, manage complexity, and deliver business outcomes.

  • Strong customer and patient focus, with a commitment to understanding unmet needs and improving patient care.
