Why the job Exists?

  • Job function is to simulate the physical conditions virtually (Virtual validation ) and forecast the success\failure of the design in the FEA softwares. This will reduce the time and investment resulting into faster\cheaper development of the part.

How the job fits in the organization?

  • CAE-Simulation leads to reduce development cycle of the component resulting into faster and better service to our customers. These activities also lead to the better trust building by our customer on us.
  • Without this activity there will be too many iterations in physical validation resulting into financial and time loss to the company\customer.

How it relates to other functions?

  • CAE-Simulation is directly related to Design and Tooling teams to take the right decision when it comes to relevant modifications in design and Tool based on the results\reports generated by these profiles.
  • Customer trust multifold when the report generated by this team supports the validation of the design of the components

Performing CAE-FEA Simulations (Static force analysis , Vibrational analysis , Modal analysis , Moldflow etc. ) to support North America and Europe Projects. Utilize predictive software for weight savings, cost reductions, and engineering improvements based on simulation results.

Lead technical team meeting to discuss simulation analysis results. Capture lessons learned for future usage and drive product improvement activities.

Correlate Digital & Physical: Collaborate with test labs to validate FEA models against physical test data, ensuring high simulation accuracy and predictive reliability.

Root Cause Analysis: Simulate and analyze warranty claims or field failures to identify design weaknesses and implement corrective design improvements

Drive NPD Decisions: Provide actionable, data-driven design recommendations to cross-functional CAD and manufacturing teams early in the development cycle

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Identify education, qualifications, training and

experience necessary to enable the job to be carried out fully and effectively. Note this

information should relate to the qualifications etc, required for the job and not be specific to

an individual.

Work Experience Required:

Experience in Performing CAE-FEA Simulations (Static force analysis, Vibrational analysis, Thermal, Fatigue, etc) using Ansys workbench and LS-Dyna for at least 5 years.

Experience in simulation of plastic and hyper elastic materials.

Experience in Nonlinear simulations of both metals and plastics.

Proven competency in organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, drive for results, written and verbal communication.

Proven experience in managing multiple projects in parallel.

Proven experience in collaboration with Asia, EU and US teams with different time zones considered.

Experience in Fasteners and automotive domain will be added advantage.

Experience in manufacturing process simulation (Injection molding and metal forming) will be added advantage

Education & Skills Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Master’s in design/simulation/CAD/CAM/CAE engineering is preferred.

Ansys workbench and LS-Dyna for at least 5 years.

Mold x 3d or DEFROM will be added advantage.

Good Technical, interpersonal skills.

Ability to engage across different regions and technical domains.

Strong communication skills and the ability to create insights from data
