Position Summary
Install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in the factory or office complex. Perform all duties of Electrician A General in addition to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities: Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs have corrected malfunctions.Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants.Perform tasks listed in General Electrician A job description.Evacuate refrigerant from out of service units. Dispose of according to EPA guidelines.May be required to operate industrial trucks (fork trucks, lift trucks, etc.)May train new employees.Follow relevant work instructions and/or SOP.Uses the appropriate electronic or manual system to perform the work of the job or department.May use computer systems to enroll in benefits and interact with other company data systems.Training, Certificates or Licenses: See ISO Skill review.
