What you'll do:
- Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements at our client’s fulfillment centers, to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM)
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on continuous improvement tools and techniques, promoting an environment prioritizing quality and efficiency
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement efforts and report on progress to senior management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of process changes and improvements
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure OIA remains competitive and innovative
- Configure and test product changes and schedule and coordinate the release to customer sites
What you bring:
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM)
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software and project management tools
- Experience drawing and editing AutoCAD designs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
- Proven experience in driving cultural change towards continuous improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Mastery of robotic automation in a warehouse environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work
Bonus Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Formal certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (Lean Six Sigma black belt is a plus)
- Experience deploying and/or provisioning autonomous mobile robotic systems
- Some knowledge of SQL, Python or other scripting languages, and data visualization tools
Physical Activities:
- Ascending or descending ladders and stairs.
- Moving between worksites to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for a prolonged period
- May need to adjust or move objects up to 30 pounds in all directions
- Will frequently have to push carts on wheels weighing in excess of 150 lbs
- Communicating with others to exchange information
Environmental Conditions:
- Some exposure to high temperatures (especially in summer months at non climate controlled facilities)
Location
This is a remote position based in the continental US. Close proximity to Boston is a plus.
**This position requires travel 30% to 50% of the time.**
