Job Description Summary

The Cyber Awareness & Training Specialist is responsible for cultivating a strong security culture across the organization. This individual will design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs that educate employees on cyber risks, secure behaviors, and policy compliance. By utilizing a mix of recurring communications, modular microlearning, phishing simulations, and high-impact events like the Annual Cyber Awareness Week, this role ensures our workforce remains the first line of defense against evolving cyber threats. This individual will require working with legal, Labor and Employment, and European Works Council to ensure training and programs comply with policies and regulations. In addition to Cyber Awareness, this role will serve as a governance leader for the Cyber Services organizations that will be responsible for coordinating metrics, report budget status, assist teams with sourcing resources and software needed, and run the monthly operating reviews.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Strategy & Content Development

  • Strategy: Develop a comprehensive, innovative training and awareness strategy, staying ahead of industry trends and applying AI-driven efficiencies.
  • Design: Create tailored cybersecurity content for various business units and technical levels.
  • Execution: Deploy training programs to meet an 80% global compliance target.
  • Microlearning: Maintain a library of bite-sized, high-impact assets (videos, quizzes, infographics) to drive frequent engagement.
  • Optimization: Use data-driven insights and risk profiles to continuously adapt training content.

2. Communication & Internal Branding

  • Campaigns: Manage recurring communications, including threat-landscape alerts, phishing trends, and best-practice tips.
  • Executive Support: Coordinate monthly briefings for C-suite stakeholders, distilling complex security incidents into actionable behavior-change messaging.
  • Engagement: Track communication metrics to refine messaging and manage the enterprise Cyber Portal as the central source of truth for employees.

3. Phishing Simulations & Risk Mitigation

  • Simulation Management: Lead regular phishing simulations across all sub-businesses.
  • Reporting: Establish standard work for reporting metrics, providing clear visibility into knowledge gaps.
  • Remediation: Manage the "repeat phish clicker" program, assigning targeted training to improve individual detection and reporting capabilities.

4. Program Coordination (Cyber Awareness Week)

  • Event Leadership: End-to-end planning of the annual Cyber Awareness Week, including agenda creation, speaker acquisition, and host logistics.
  • Execution: Coordinate cross-functional teams, tabletop exercises, gamified learning, and leadership engagement to maximize participation.

5. Governance & Budget Oversight

  • Operational Rhythm: Lead monthly KPI reviews and project status updates for security leadership.
  • Financials: Oversee the organizational budget to ensure resources are utilized effectively to meet security objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years in IT or Cybersecurity with a strong grasp of security controls and regulations.
  • 5–10 years of experience in L&D, Corporate Communications, or Security Awareness.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable language for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in instructional design and modern learning tools (e.g., Articulate, LMS).
  • Proven success in leading large-scale initiatives and interpreting data to drive program improvements.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $119,200.00 and $198,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
