Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Bicycle Patrol Diploma in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct highly visible foot and bicycle patrols, help to deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and authorization for persons and vehicles entering restricted or controlled areas.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
