Manager-Compliance -The US Special Investigations – Data Support & Intelligence
The US Special Investigations – Data Support & Intelligence Manager will be responsible for providing data, queries, and analytical support for urgent financial crime investigations. This role will translate investigative needs into targeted queries and actionable outputs that enable analysts and leadership to respond quickly to high-priority investigative requests. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the team’s critical investigations have robust data and analytics support and that its deep expertise is effectively integrated into GFCC’s production systems.
Responsibilities
Provide data querying and analytical support to analysts conducting time-sensitive financial crime investigations
Triage urgent investigative requests, assess data needs, and prioritize work based on risk, deadlines, and stakeholder impact
Construct and run advanced queries against transaction and customer data to quickly identify patterns, anomalies, networks, and potential suspicious activity
Respond to ad hoc data pull requests to support business and/or compliance efforts
Maintain clean code and documentation to improve response times, consistency, and alignment
Represent the team in design conversations with Operations Enablement and other stakeholders to translate data and investigative expertise into effective improvements to production systems
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of work experience in data-centric roles at a financial institution in one of the following areas: Anti-Money Laundering/Suspicious Activity Reporting, Cyber Security, Fraud Investigations, or Law Enforcement support
Demonstrated experience using SQL (3+ years)
Ability to communicate findings clearly and quickly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively collaborating with stakeholders outside of direct reporting lines
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or other advanced degree
CAMS certified or equivalent is preferred
Demonstrated experience in statistical programming (3+ years using Python)
Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of statistics, data mining, and network-analysis techniques
