Summary

 The Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for aiding in the logistics process to ensure material is readily available for operations as needed, aid in inventory tracking, and aid in the shipping and receiving coordination process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Supply Chain team and execute department strategy. 
• Assist in data entry to give visibility to wholegoods inventory by managing and updating vendor supplied schedules.
• Efficiently work with Operations management to ensure clarity on department needs.
• Assist in communications with buyers, vendors, and Accounts Payable to ensure process is as stress free as possible for all parties.
• Review supplier invoices to ensure costs and counts are accurate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient with general computer use and specifically Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across an organization.

• Must be forward thinking with the ability to problem solve quickly and unexpectedly.
• Possess high level of ambition to continuously improve processes and advance the department.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Highly motivated individual who can work independently and as a team

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Works between an office and plant environment with exposure to varying degrees of temperatures and noise.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking 
• Attendance – The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday .
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
