Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while representing Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, team-focused culture with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and public health facility personnel while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of public health facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, using appropriate armed response protocols when required.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership, law enforcement, and Allied Universal supervision as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
