About the role

Nerveli is seeking an organized and analytical Product Strategy & Coordination Intern to support the planning, documentation, and cross-functional coordination behind our chronic pain support platform.

This is a document-focused product role for a student interested in product strategy, product management, digital health, and research synthesis. Working under the direction of product leadership, the intern will help turn meeting notes, product decisions, user feedback, and project updates into well-structured requirements, briefs, trackers, summaries, and other working documents.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and systems thinker who enjoys bringing order to complex information, asking thoughtful questions, and helping design, engineering, content, and leadership teams stay aligned.

Compensation and academic credit: This is an unpaid educational internship. Students may be eligible to receive academic credit through their college or university. Credit is not guaranteed and must be approved and arranged with the student’s academic institution before the internship begins. Nerveli will reasonably assist with required documentation and evaluations.


Responsibilities
  • Draft and maintain product briefs, feature requirements, user stories/journeys, acceptance criteria, decision records, and release documentation with guidance from product leadership.
  • Turn meeting notes, product discussions, and stakeholder feedback into clear decisions, open questions, owners, and next steps.
  • Help keep product documentation, roadmaps, trackers, and source-of-truth materials accurate and current.
  • Organize and synthesize Beta, usability, and stakeholder feedback into themes and actionable product findings.
  • Compare requirements, approved designs, project tickets, and implemented experiences to identify gaps or inconsistencies from a “big picture” perspective.
  • Support feature audits, product QA documentation, and launch-readiness reviews.
  • Conduct focused competitor, market, and product research and summarize findings in a practical format.
  • Prepare concise product updates, status summaries, agendas, and follow-up materials for cross-functional teams.
  • Help document workflows, terminology, ownership, and recurring product activities.
  • Maintain organized files and naming conventions so current materials are easy to locate and use.
  • Participate in product planning conversations, contribute research and observations, and ask clarifying questions when requirements or decisions are incomplete.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program in product management, business, information science, human-computer interaction, communications, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, synthesis, and organizational skills.
  • Able to turn complex or incomplete information into clear, structured documentation.
  • Comfortable working with shared documents, spreadsheets, trackers, and project-management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to recognize missing information or inconsistencies.
  • Able to manage multiple small assignments, follow through on deadlines, and communicate questions early.
  • Interested in how digital products are planned, built, tested, and improved over time.
Helpful, but not required
  • Coursework or project experience involving product management, UX research, business analysis, digital health, or software development.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, Miro, or Figma.
  • Experience creating requirements, user journeys, research summaries, process documentation, or project trackers.
  • Basic familiarity with agile product-development practices.
  • Experience reviewing a digital product for usability, content, or functional issues.

Success in this role

By the end of the internship, the Product Operations Intern should be able to turn a defined product discussion or body of feedback into accurate, useful documentation that clarifies requirements, decisions, ownership, and next steps for a cross-functional team.
