Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager I to lead initiatives within the Data Governance and Automation space. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial concept through implementation and post-project assessment, ensuring business objectives are achieved within established timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to drive delivery of technology solutions that improve data management, governance, automation, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage technology projects within the Data Governance and Automation space from initiation through implementation and post-project assessment.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, assign project tasks, and monitor execution to achieve project objectives.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders across multiple lines of business to build strong working relationships and drive project success.
Track project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and deliver project documentation, presentations, and project updates.
Facilitate clear and timely communication of project expectations, priorities, and outcomes.
Ensure projects are delivered within established timelines, scope, and budget parameters.
Support initiatives focused on data governance, data management, process improvement, and automation.
Typical project size may reach or exceed $500,000 in budget or business value.
Required Qualifications
University / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
Strong project coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
Understanding of data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, or regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with process automation technologies and workflow optimization.
Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
