Procurement Tendering Manager

RemoteFull-time$109k–$181kPosted Jul 30, 2026

Job Description Summary

Supply chain strategy doesn't happen in a vacuum — it's built deal by deal, proposal by proposal, decision by decision. As a Procurement Tendering Manager at GE Vernova, you'll be at the center of it all: the strategic connector between Sourcing, Commercial, and Engineering who ensures every Heavy Duty New Unit proposal is grounded in competitive, risk-mitigated cost structures.

This is a role for someone who thrives in high-stakes environments, sees complexity as an opportunity, and knows that the margin you protect during the tender phase is the margin that makes a project succeed. If you want your sourcing expertise to shape some of the most significant energy infrastructure deals in the market, this is where you do it.

Job Description

What You'll Do

You will lead sourcing strategy across the full Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process — from the earliest proposal stage through handoff to project execution — acting as the primary point of contact for sourcing standards and the voice of supply chain risk to Sales and leadership.

  • Own the sourcing strategy for Heavy Duty New Unit tenders: build competitive vendor lists, validate cost structures, and ensure accurate cycle times for every proposal
  • Lead supply chain risk assessments during the ITO stage and develop proactive mitigation plans that protect project margins — translating complex supply chain data into clear, actionable guidance for Sales and Proposal teams
  • Drive cost database integrity by collaborating with Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, and Finance to maintain up-to-date product cost models, including annual handbook updates and marketing feature inputs
  • Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process for tenders: evaluate supplier offers, validate cost solidity, and ensure sourcing commitments are executable before a deal is signed
  • Lead the tender-to-execution transition: review and approve project budgets so that what was promised during the proposal phase can actually be delivered — setting project teams up for financial success from day one
  • Institutionalize lessons learned by capturing insights from project execution and feeding them back into tendering processes, refining cost models and supplier selections over time

Who We're Looking For

You're a seasoned supply chain professional with a sharp commercial mindset — someone who can hold their own in a room with engineers, finance leaders, and sales executives, and who finds genuine energy in solving complex procurement puzzles under pressure.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Sourcing, Engineering, Commercial Operations, or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the power industry
  • Demonstrated experience with sourcing and procurement in complex, technical project environments

Preferred

  • Experience with Material Shipped Direct (MSD) in power plant projects
  • Technical background in power generation equipment or related engineering disciplines
  • Proficiency with financial modeling and supply chain data tools such as SAP, Excel, or Power BI
  • Experience working in cross-functional, global teams across multiple time zones
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess project profitability and long-term sourcing strategy
