Associate Project Manager – Technical
Job Summary
The Consulting Services Go to Market Team in Germany (Red Hat EMEA) is looking for an Associate Project Manager to join us in our fast-paced environment. We are looking for a great open personality, well organized with strong communication skills. In this role, you will own and streamline delivery, ensuring projects progress smoothly, on schedule, and in scope. You will operate independently to drive project coordination, revenue forecasting, and invoicing processes from start to finish.
Note: This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws.
What you will do:
Independently manage and track coordination across multiple parallel projects (up to 10–15 engagements) using established Red Hat delivery processes
Drive the full delivery lifecycle of customer engagements from project kick-off, resource allocation, and regular governance touchpoints through to final documentation and formal project closure.
Track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies using Red Hat project governance standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including status reports, action logs, RAID logs, and meeting summaries.
Serve as a confident, proactive point of contact for customers to align on progress, manage expectations, and diplomatically push back where needed
Support the organization of workshops, design sessions, and technical delivery checkpoints with consultants and architects.
Follow established delivery methodologies and processes to ensure consistency and quality across engagements.
Monitor project financials by tracking hours, burn rate, and consumption, taking ownership of routine invoicing and reporting processes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Services, Sales, Support, and Partners to enable smooth execution of project tasks.
Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and supporting retrospective sessions.
Identify potential blockers early, take ownership of problem-solving, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
Provide general administrative and operational support to the project delivery team.
What you will bring:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in customer-facing environments, with the confidence to communicate proactively and navigate challenging discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
A strong proactive mindset and sense of accountability - actively looking for answers, taking initiative, and driving tasks to completion.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to independently prioritize work across multiple parallel engagements
Interest in delivery excellence, process improvement, and structured ways of working.
Familiarity with project management tools and frameworks (Agile, waterfall, hybrid).
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Comfortable using Red Hat and similar tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, Smartsheet
A collaborative mindset with willingness to support teammates and contribute to shared success.
PMI or Agile fundamentals certifications are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal language skills in German and English
