Job Family Definition

Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of human resources administration and activities associated with employee information, retrieval capabilities and support. Processes HR data according to 'the company' policy and legal requirements, consults on HR processes and implementation, and is responsible for end-to-end HR customer support throughout the employee life cycle. Acts as the local HR point of presence in-country, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and country-specific regulations across the employee life cycle, and performing in-country activities that require physical/local presence (e.g., document signing, filing and archiving, and submissions to local authorities and labor inspections). Identifies emerging applications and recommends process improvements and simplification that support business and HR strategy. Works across the business, functional, and regional areas of 'the company' to recommend IT investments and improvements to HR tools. Implements and tracks programs and processes to ensure that records are accurate, accessible, and appropriately secure, and that data retrieval and reporting capabilities meet the needs of internal customers, legal compliance, and the company policy requirements (e.g., data management and integration of data). Re-engineers processes at regional and country level and works in partnership with global teams to build more process strength and capability. Provides support for recruiting in administration, internal hiring and lower-level external hiring. Ensures seamless support for both front- and back-end processes. Supports local employee relations matters and local engagement, culture, and communication initiatives, partnering with Country HR and local stakeholders. Defines the strategy for HR Operations support of Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Outsourcing (MADO). Leads, coordinates and provides HR Operations support for all MADO employee transitions.

Management Level Definition

Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies and local labor regulations. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and manages multiple parts of process delivery with team guidance and instructions.
  • Identifies areas for process improvements; provides country-specific subject matter expertise and solutions.
  • Provides analytical support and analysis for priority projects that impact employees at the country level and may lead projects of low complexity.
  • Resolves HR support cases of moderate to high complexity that cannot be answered immediately through service centers.
  • Assists with increasingly complex reporting needs and analyzes survey, employee, and financial data, and audit results.
  • Serves as the local HR contact in-country, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, statutory requirements, and country-specific policies throughout the employee life cycle (hiring, onboarding, job change, termination) as well as supports HR operations within EMEA region
  • Executes activities that require local presence, including signing, collecting, and archiving employment documents and coordinating submissions and filings with local authorities and labor inspections.
  • Provides input on local employee relations / People Care cases requiring local guidance and escalates complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
  • Acts as a local point of contact in country for data privacy / GDPR-related requests and maintains records in line with local data retention requirements.
  • Supports local engagement, culture, wellbeing, and communication initiatives, and liaises with local stakeholders and, where applicable, social partners / works councils.

Education and Experience Required

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 2-4 years related experience in compensation, benefits, finance, and/or human resources, including exposure to local HR administration and country-specific labor law compliance.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Developed level of process knowledge and expertise in back-end processes.
  • Developed general HR knowledge, including working knowledge of local labor law and country-specific HR practices**.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Developed ability to use HR productivity tools, systems and applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and with guidance on more complex issues and decisions.
  • Local language proficiency and ability to be physically present in-country to perform activities that cannot be completed remotely.
