Cloud Infrastructure/Systems Administrator
The Opportunity:
Join a fast-paced Agile development program as a key Platform resource. You will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining systems within an AWS cloud, keeping the multiple servers and applications highly available for daily use. Plan and execute daily tasks along with long term upgrades and migrations. With the diverse systems and applications employed in our program you’ll continually be challenged and have the opportunity to grow in your field.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage AWS infrastructure across multi-account, multi-environment landing zones as well as systems management and solution designs
Installing, configuring, deploying and maintaining servers and software
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Work within a SAFe delivery model alongside application, data, and security teams
Assist with IaaS, IaC, networks, and firewalls
Perform upgrades, IAVA patching, and STIG compliance
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to contract requirements
Troubleshoot system issues and outages
Manage resources in an AWS cloud
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Build & maintain internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Implement multi-region disaster recovery and contribute to backup, failover, and resilience automation
Qualifications:
Required:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Communicate (verbal and written) effectively with teams, peers, and management
Experience with servers, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management in virtual/cloud environments
Experience with and ability to understand, distill, and document solution requirement
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Expertise with operating systems and platforms to include Windows and Linux
Production Kubernetes / EKS and container experience (Docker/containered, image building)
Active Directory / identity federation integration experience
Secret Clearance required to start
7+ years of experience in related field
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Security+ Certification
Desired:
Familiarity with products like GIT, Gitlab CI/CD Pipelines, Terraform, Docker
Experience with STIG compliance and security patching
Knowledge of AWS hosted environments and services
Knowledge of server scripting (Shell/Yaml/PowerShell) and automation technologies
Strong Terraform (modules, state management, reusable IaC) and Ansible knowledge
Observability and logging platform knowledge (Splunk, CloudWatch)
Knowledge of AWS Systems Manager for automated patching and configuration management

The proposed salary range for this position is:
