Define and drive the technical strategy for Azure observability and reliability platforms, influencing architecture, engineering practices, and long-term investments across multiple teams and services. Lead the design of highly scalable distributed systems that process and analyze telemetry at hyperscale, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence. Partner with engineering, product, and platform leaders across Azure to align priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver solutions that create broad customer and business impact. Identify and address systemic challenges across architecture, operations, and engineering processes, improving the effectiveness and sustainability of critical platform capabilities. Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design guidance, and mentoring, helping develop senior engineers and strengthen engineering excellence across the organization. Drive innovation in observability, automation, and intelligent operations, shaping capabilities that improve service health, incident response, and engineering productivity at cloud scale. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 15+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Demonstrated leadership in building and operating large-scale systems, influencing architecture across organizations, and solving complex reliability and scalability challenges. Experience with large scale distributed systems.
