General Accounting Manager (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Team Management
Supervise and support the local accounting team
Coach, guide and develop team members
Set goals and objectives for the team
Promote diversity and keep retention high
Financial reporting
Organization and management of Statutory and Corporate accounting processes
Monthly financial closing and reporting according to Local, US GAAP and Corporate accounting and reporting standards
Own the closing checklist to ensure completion of all required activities in the monthly closing process
Prepare and review journal entries and calculations for accruals and provisions
Development and maintenance of standard recurring journal entries;
Prepare and review monthly intercompany reconciliations with nVent Group entities;
Analyze monthly balance sheet and profit and loss accounts and movements
Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations in OneStream accurately and on a timely basis;
Comply with corporate direct tax processes and policies
Statutory reporting requirements
Accountable for all finance statutory requirements
Assist with the preparation of the local direct income tax returns and transfer pricing documentation
Organize and coordinate the statutory audit with our external auditors
Preparation of the annual financial statements
Good understanding of US to local GAAP and local tax basis differences
Internal Controls Management
Management of the internal control system in order to ensure that local and Corporate accounting and tax standards are properly integrated into all business processes
Accountable for updating key controls process memos
Coordination of internal audit activities
Other
Standardize and simplify existing practices and processes
Promote digital mindset in accounting processes
Support ERP developments, upgrades or migration from finance perspective
Assist with potential merger and acquisition related activities
Perform other duties as requested and / or as needed to fulfill the purpose of the position.
YOU HAVE:
A degree in finance, business or accounting, preferably in an international environment
5 + years of professional experience in accounting
Must have managed / supervised a team for at least two years;
Good knowledge of accounting, balance sheets and tax law
Good ERP knowledge, ideally SAP
Independent, highly organized and problem-solving way of working
Analytical with attention to detail
Team player with effective verbal and listening communication skills
Proactive lean and digital mindset
Good English and German language skills, French is a plus
