Join the Systems Aftermarket Procurement team to support the Airbus Flight Hours Services (“FHS”), a fast growing activities supporting already 50 airlines and more than 1,800 aircraft worldwide.

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager in Equipment, Systems and Services Procurement (PESC) for the Flight Hours Services (FHS) at Airbus Commercial Aircraft.

You will integrate a multicultural team, internationally exposed, constantly dealing with various internal stakeholders & with various equipment & systems suppliers.

The job's prime objective is to shape the FHS suppliers landscape, manage Airbus equipment & systems repair capabilities and negotiate competitive and efficient conditions of Repair and Spares purchase, in order to support the competitiveness of Airbus FHS offers towards the airlines end customers.

Accountabilities:

  • You will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Procurement role in an FHS environment: defining Product strategy on your supplier portfolio (mainly US & European suppleirs), drive Call for tenders or negotiate any cost reduction opportunities, until contractualisation.  .

  • You will enforce compliance between contracts terms & conditions and the activities conducted by the supplier and by Airbus.

  • You will commit the Company by achieving the signature of contractual agreements.

  • You will manage the alignment across the different Company functions (mainly Flight Hour Services from Customer Services, FHS Programs, Supply Chain, Engineering and linefit Procurement ) for the purchased services

  • You will ensure professional and trusting supplier relationship management with major aeronautical industry players and uphold the Company ethics and compliance standards in all your dealings

Scope:

  • The PESC FHS commodity is supporting all the Airbus commercial aircraft programs, including A220.

  • Procurement volume of your perimeter: around 20m$ with a 20% yearly increase of spent.

  • The location is in Blagnac, France, with some travels to meet suppliers.

  • You will have a large number of interfaces including major multi-national suppliers and Airbus aircraft Customer Services, programs, Supply Chain, , Quality, Finance, Costing and Legal teams.

Output:

  • Efficient, consistent and trusting relationships built with key stakeholders (Suppliers, Customer Services, Programs, Operations, Legal, Finance).

  • Equipment & Systems delivered on time, on quality and on cost in your perimeter.

  • Effective negotiation and implementation of competitive service conditions.

  • Supplier selection in line with commodity strategy and Company standards.

  • Contractual agreements, up-to-date and compliant with the Procurement Policies.

  • Supplier rating reflecting the actual performance of the supplier.

Competencies:

If you are able to demonstrate enough of the following skills or experience and you would like to develop the others do not hesitate to apply.

Hard skills:

  • A degree level in Engineering, Business school or University

  • Experience in Customer Support, Procurement, Operations, or Programmes, with efficient project management is a plus.

  • Effective contract and international negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness.

  • Experience in supplier relationship Management and Procurement, or other equivalent experience in managing outside stakeholder.

  • Good technical understanding of Aircraft systems and big data management tool is a plus

  • Excellent level of English is required as you will have to deal with US suppliers and all contracts are in English

  • Analytics allows you to remains focused on priorities and gain in efficiency while managing simultaneously different projects / negotiations
