Job Summary
Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide leadership for multiple industrial electrical construction projects while driving safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for overseeing Superintendents, Foremen, and field leadership teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
The General Superintendent serves as a key leader within field operations, partnering closely with Operations, Project Managers, customers, and executive leadership to develop teams, improve field performance, and deliver exceptional project results. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical construction leader who thrives on mentoring others, building high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple industrial electrical construction projects and field operations.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Superintendents, Foremen, Leadmen, and craft personnel.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower utilization, productivity, and field performance across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure successful project execution.
• Assist with manpower planning, workforce development, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex field installation challenges.
• Promote a strong culture of safety by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, productivity, and overall project performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve field operations, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Support project planning, startup, turnover, and closeout activities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement throughout the field organization.
Minimum Job Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of industrial electrical construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or senior field leadership position.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical construction methods, electrical systems, and NEC requirements.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and supervising field leadership teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements
• Work in active construction environments with frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and standing.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and travel between multiple project sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment while on project sites.
• Travel throughout Arizona and surrounding project locations as business needs require.
