Location/Division Specific Information

We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen currently, with about 500 employees, whose “high-end” measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide. Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS, as well as Trace Elemental Analysis, are among the leading products globally in their respective markets. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist to join our dynamic Research & Development team in Bremen.

Join us in our ambitious efforts to address environmental challenges through brand new research. Your contributions will help us develop innovative solutions for trace-level analysis of contaminants!

A day in the Life:

  • Develop and optimize workflows for PFAS enrichment/cleanup from wastewater under supervision.
  • Establish and refine GC-MS acquisition methods, ensuring flawless calibration and quality control.
  • Benchmark key analytical metrics against established LC-MS workflows

Keys to Success:

  • Currently enrolled in a Chemistry PhD. (or equivalent) with a strong analytical focus.

Experience

  • Completed graduate-level coursework and practicals in applied analytical chemistry and chromatography.
  • Experience from project/lab practicums.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Basic familiarity with instrumental analysis workflows and data evaluation (calibration, QC, method validation concepts).
  • Proficient written and spoken English.
