As a trusted organizational leader, you'll collaborate with executive leadership, clinical and operational teams, and external partners to develop and execute enterprise strategies that align with our mission, regulatory requirements, and long-term business objectives. If you're passionate about transforming health information into a strategic asset and leading teams through innovation and change, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Champion data integrity, health information governance, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and patient and provider access to health information.
  • Lead initiatives focused on interoperability, health information exchange, and electronic health record optimization.
  • Partner with executive leaders, clinical teams, IT, revenue cycle, compliance, and external stakeholders to implement transformational solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards related to health information management and privacy.
  • Drive organizational change through effective project leadership, process improvement, and adoption of best practices.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the HIM organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a health-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential with at least three years of supervisory or management experience, preferably within an academic or teaching healthcare environment; or
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential with 10 or more years of progressive management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Health Information Management, revenue cycle compliance, and regulatory coding standards, including MS-DRGs, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Experience leading HIM operations, managing enterprise initiatives, and successfully driving organizational change.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), document imaging systems, and HIM technology applications, including at least one year of direct experience with HIM systems and project management.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills with a proven ability to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of health information exchange (HIE), personal health records (PHRs), interoperability standards, and electronic health record regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading enterprise data governance or digital transformation initiatives within a complex healthcare system.
