About Plum

Welcome to Plum, where we take a step towards building the most trusted & loved insurance & healthcare provider for people & companies, one step at a time, one person at a time. We got into this space when the founders, Saurabh & Abhishek, felt that this industry was a unique combination of a large industry (100k Cr+ Premiums), growing fast (20%+ CAGR over past 20 years), where the customer experience was not close to what we could deliver using technology.

Over the past 5 years, we have done what no one could expect to - innovate, raise the customer experience bar while onboarding more than 4000 companies, 700,000 lives, 20 of India’s unicorns while delivering great value to our customers (our NPS is more than double the industry average).

We are on a mission to provide the highest quality insurance and healthcare to 10 million lives by FY2030 through companies that care and are backed in our mission by Tiger Global and Peak XV Partners.

About the Role

Plum is looking for an Admin Lead  to own vendor strategy, sourcing, and negotiation across food & beverage, events, office collaterals, IT hardware, and facilities. This is a commercial and relationship-management role: you'll be judged on the quality of the deals you strike and the reliability of the vendors you bring on, not on running day-to-day errands. A separate Office Support Executive handles daily execution and reports into this role, so you can stay focused on sourcing, negotiating, and managing performance.

What you'll own

  • F&B: negotiate and manage contracts with lunch and snack vendors and partner restaurants; own rate cards and renewal cycles.

  • Events: negotiate offsite venue, hotel, and travel-booking-platform rates and contracts; own the primary travel booking relationship. On-day execution stays with event leads and the Office Support Executive — you own the commercial terms, not the setup.

  • Collaterals: source and negotiate with printing and event-merchandise vendors, working against requirements set by the relevant event or People Success owner.

  • IT hardware: own laptop procurement — vendor selection, bulk pricing, and contract terms.

  • Facilities: own the housekeeping staffing agency relationship and contract terms.

  • Build and maintain a documented rate card and renewal calendar across all vendor categories.

  • Track vendor performance and run periodic reviews; flag underperformance early.

  • Manage procurement within agreed budget bands and escalate anything outside them.

What we're looking for

  • 3-6 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or admin/facilities with a strong negotiation component.

  • A track record of negotiating contracts that measurably improved cost or terms, not just placing orders.

  • Comfort managing multiple vendor relationships and renewal cycles at once without things slipping.

  • Clear, direct communication — comfortable pushing back on vendors and on internal stakeholders when needed.

  • Budget discipline and comfort working within (and escalating outside of) defined spend bands.

  • Bonus: experience specifically in event/hospitality procurement or IT asset procurement.
