Specific Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:
Be the SME in all systems under his/her responsibility such that water system, HVAC compressed air, boilers, generators, in addition to non GMP utilities )
Lead or participate in capital projects for all the systems under his/her responsibility.
Provide written instructions for the proper way to operate and maintain the utilities and process to assure that the system operates within the controlled parameters
Implement efficient and effective maintenance and reliability techniques.
Provide technical assistance as necessary to utilities technicians
Support internal audits and external audits
Maintain efficient communications with appropriate area owners within the site.
Maintain, develop, and conduct operations training of utility teams
Comply with and support departmental EHS plans Ensure the utilities comply with all EHS policies and procedures.
Ensure the utilities comply with all Viatris policies and procedures
Identify risks and escalate situation with a sense of urgency
Manage the maintenance budget in utilities area with respect to (variance, projections, risks and mitigating strategies).
Support the tracking and (KPIs) for Cairo site against global sustainability plan of 2030.
Utilities section head provides System Matter Expert (SME) input and approvals on deviations, change control, SOPs, CAPA actions, and other Quality systems.
Delegate for senior utilities engineer in case of absence or out of office
Experience and Knowledge:
Preferred Qualifications- B.SC of Engineering (Mechanical /Electrical/ Electronics
4 years in related field
5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in utilities or maintenance role
Technical understanding of utilities
Working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of cGMP.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others.
