Business Systems Analyst (Data & Integration)

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with global business stakeholders from across the organization (e.g. sales, marketing, customer enablement, finance) to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for gathering and mapping data from disparate sources (e.g. different CRMs, ERPs or downstream applications) for system integrations and centralised reporting. Understanding the different insights needed for different business areas.

Demonstrate deep technical fluency, data literacy, and sharp commercial awareness to map out how data flows, transforms, and is presented across enterprise systems.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to pull data together from multiple sources, to gain deeper insights, and guide them to “put data first” to improve our analytical capabilities.

Educate stakeholders on the upstream and downstream impacts to integrations and reporting, e.g. field or data changes can break these if not flagged early.

Collaborate with IT teams, software vendors, and business units to ensure that system integrations and reporting meet user needs.

Act as a liaison between technical teams (e.g., developers, IT architects) and business users (across the business) to ensure that requirements are accurately understood and implemented.

Question the “as is” and explore options for the “to be”, recognising that what is being asked for is not always what is needed.

Ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

Create detailed documentation including functional specifications, epics, user stories, use cases, process maps, and data flow diagrams, tailored to financial systems and audiences.

Develop and maintain user manuals, system documentation, and training materials for reporting systems.

Assist in the development of test cases and testing procedures for new or updated reports and their data.

Coordinate business acceptance testing (BAT) and ensure that systems meet business, accounting, and audit requirements before go-live.

Help prioritise system requirements based on business needs, resource availability, and the potential business impact.

Work with BSAs from other other workstream as well as stakeholders to balance competing requirements and determine the most important features or improvements for reporting systems.

Provide clear, timely communication to business stakeholders regarding report changes, expected impacts, timelines, and training.

Essential skillsets & experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Experience of data ETL transformation, migration and warehousing
- Ideally show proficiency in querying databases and using visualization tools (like Snowflake or Power BI) to help to drive decisions.
- Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Miro).
- Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and frameworks (e.g., BABOK, BPMN).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
- Data analytics certification is preferred
