Meet the team:

An exciting role to support the continuous growth of the company and for future expansion. This position will play a key role to support the Penang Facilities sites, be an active team member supporting the Facilities department programs and procedures that promote a well-managed and well-maintained site. You will primarily provide all aspects of facility engineering management problem solving. Subject areas include system operation condition, preventive maintenance, supporting cost avoidance initiatives and coordination of budgeting, maintaining records, and providing general support services for the operation. The position will also participate in the culture of employee health & safety and good corporate stewardship.

Where you come in:

  • You responsible for daily/routine operation and maintenance activities of various utilities equipment/systems, Compressed Dried Air, Cooling Tower, Chiller, Heat Recovery Hot Water System, Plant Wide Air Conditioning System, Cooling/Chilled Water System, City Water Supply System, Fire Protection System, Gasses) including upgrading, improvement and other related facility systems.
  • You identify the parameters to be trend in the BMS data and focusing on data analysis to identify opportunities to improve the reliability/efficiency of the Critical equipment or processes.
  • You plan and supervise effective and efficient preventive and predictive maintenance program, conduct trouble shooting and implementing preventive, corrective and mitigation actions/measures.
  • You provide technical support during the factory building construction phase, close coordination on progress, reporting and addressing any issues that arise.
  • You support any activities related to factory commissioning, qualification & validation program (CQV).
  • You manage contractors and ensure they are complying with Safety Procedures.
  • You support and coordinate in Major activities like Annual Shutdown, Overhaul etc.
  • You assist the Senior Facility Manager in the day-to-day oversite of the MA PM building programs. Focus on making building systems safer, more efficient, more reliable, and easier to service and maintain.
  • You work with building management and control.
  • You manage preventive maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities programs using CMMS software.
  • You maintain monthly PM reports, KPI information of collection of data analytics.
  • You build partnerships with third-party vendors, services providers, and contactors, while ensuring most cost-effective methods are being used.
  • You research and implement new technology to improve operational efficiency.
  • You support department vendor management, quotes, PO process, invoices and payments tracking.
  • You support the department in space planning efforts including moves, adds, and changes.
  • You conduct operational reviews of a facilities mechanical or other building systems.
  • You investigate unique problems related to buildings in the area of energy, mechanical systems or other building infrastructure systems, suggest and implement solutions.

What makes you successful:

  • You have experience in liaison with local authorities’, government regulatory bodies to achieve utilities equipment compliance and utility services provider.
  • You have industry experience in system ownership for HVAC Wet and Dry systems.
  • You have broad engineering skills and experience in utility, automation, instrumentation and project management, operations, and maintenance of HVAC Wet & Dry and mechanical system.
  • You have understanding and experience of GMP & EHS requirements and external/internal audits
  • You can articulate and explain technical concepts to non-technical trained stakeholder.
  • You have good engineering problem solving skills, workload resource planning and prioritization skills.
  • You have knowledge on Lean Sigma tools (5S /Pareto /5 why /DMAIC / RCA /Fish bone analysis) will be added advantage
  • You have knowledge on ISO stds for medical devices and environmental acts
  • You have proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You are required to report during emergency events.
  • You are strong team player and ability to build positive collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and plant staff.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience
