AltaGas - Warehouse Technician, REEF
AltaGas is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support our REEF Terminal Operations team! This role will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and coordination with maintenance and procurement teams. The Warehouse Technician plays a key role in ensuring parts and materials are available to support safe and reliable facility operations.
Your primary focus will be to ensure all work aligns with AltaGas’ Core Values: safety, collaboration, integrity, inclusion, and learning. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
You Will:
- Send/Receive all packages and shipments coming to and from AltaGas REEF.
- Kitting/Staging of parts for upcoming work orders.
- Entering Part #’s and new equipment into Maximo.
- Update Maximo with inventory quantities.
- Preserve a safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse neat and tidy.
- Ordering of parts when stock is low or when ad-hoc part is needed.
- Work with VMI (Vendor managed inventory) suppliers on our keep-stock lists.
- Operate the JLG Telehandler to load/offload trucks.
- Filing all required paperwork and working with our procurement team when receiving parts.
- Oversee, maintain, and audit inventory levels.
- Receiving, inspection, tagging, documentation, storage and issue of spares and consumables.
- Coordinate and resolve overage, shortage, and discrepancies/damages (OS&D) in spares and consumables received.
- Obtain supplier price quotations, evaluate options, and create requisitions/purchase requests for parts, materials, and services as required.
- Process packing slips, invoices, and other receiving documents in JD Edwards / Maximo.
- Know and ship products as per TDG requirements.
- Create ship notice, packing slips for shipments including for returns and repairs, as required.
- Coordinate shipment of outbound spares and consumables.
- Complete cycle count of inventory spares and consumables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work with suppliers via email and phone to refill warehouse inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Maintenance team to determine inventory reorder points and critical spares.
- Bin locate and tag material as per the AltaGas standards.
- Implement all AltaGas warehouse and inventory management processes.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify and properly dispose of obsolete parts and materials.
- Assist maintenance team with tasks as required.
You Have:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Excellent email and communication skills.
- Grade 12 Education.
- Good coordination and organizational skills.
- Inventory control experience.
- Data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- JLG Telehandler certificate is a bonus.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary of $105,000 - $114,000/ year , based on experience, education, and skills. AltaGas also provides a competitive relocation allowance and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off starting on day one.
