We are seeking a Workforce Optimization Lead to join our team! 

As a Workforce Optimization Lead within Human Resources, you will support the Commercial & Investment Bank and partner closely with HR Business Advisors and business leaders to connect workforce strategy with business priorities. You will bring together workforce planning, organization design, skills and learning, recruiting, talent strategy, and workforce transformation to help leaders make informed decisions about current and future workforce needs. You will serve as a trusted workforce advisory partner, providing proven frameworks, tools, market insights, and expertise that enable HRBAs and leaders to anticipate workforce challenges, identify capability gaps, and translate business strategy into actionable workforce plans. The role helps shift the organization from reactive talent decisions to proactive workforce planning and sustainable capability building in support of long-term growth and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leverage workforce expertise to help create a scalable process for the business/HR Advisor to create workforce plans that balance hiring, development, redeployment, automation, and organizational redesign.
  • Partner with HR Advisory, Learning, Recruiting, Workforce Design, and Compensation teams to assess impacts of workforce changes and develop multi-year workforce strategies aligned to business priorities.
  • Assess current workforce composition across CIB versus future-state talent requirements; Identify critical capability gaps, succession risks, and talent concentrations.
  • Drive workforce agility initiatives that enable movement of talent across businesses and functions.
  • Assess organizational structures for scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Support leadership teams through business transformations, reorganizations, and growth initiatives; act as a trusted advisor on future workforce implications of business decisions.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations regarding spans, layers, talent density, and operating models.
  • Monitor workforce trends, talent pipeline health, mobility, attrition, succession readiness, and skills gaps.
  • Help prioritize needs across CIB and HR to identify areas ready to partner with the Workforce Design team and facilitate discussions regarding workforce investments, organizational priorities, and talent trade-offs.
  • Serve as a workforce optimization SME for CIB; act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR on future workforce implications of business decisions.
  • Translate complex workforce data into clear business recommendations.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, Workforce Strategy, Management Consulting, Organization Effectiveness, Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning
  • Strong understanding of how emerging technologies, including generative AI and automation, are reshaping jobs, skills, workforce demand, talent acquisition, career mobility, and employee development
  • Proven ability to translate workforce analytics, labor market intelligence, and business strategy into actionable workforce recommendations
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and navigating complex organizations
  • Proven business analytical skills (ability to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause)
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working partnerships with HR colleagues and the business
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, high attention to detail and ability to convey a narrative through use of data and research; excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience working within a consulting firm or leading enterprise-wide workforce transformation initiatives in a complex global organization
  • Experience leading workforce transformation engagements related to AI, automation, organizational redesign, or future-of-work initiatives, including assessing workforce impacts, identifying changing skill requirements, developing reskilling strategies, and advising senior leaders on workforce implications and change management preferred
