What you’ll do:
- Ensure the team deliver product to meet revenue budget targets
- The team comprises of the AAR aftermarket team in Wimborne and in Fort Walton Beach
- Ensure delivery is On time, to cost and with quality (Part and paperwork)
- Issue resolution, with the Production supervisor, Manufacturing Engineers, Material Planners, quality inspector, test technicians and fitters
- A key and instrumental role within the aftermarket team
- The Delivery Manager reports to the Value Stream Manager and is responsible for product delivery, on time (OTD), to cost and with quality (hardware and paperwork)
- Accountable for achieving the budget, which includes the early risk identification/mitigation and identification of opportunities (order book mid and long term assessment)
- Escalation of key issues to the Value Stream Manager and support meeting with the Operations Director
- Provides the financial forecasts to the IPT and the finance team, from the initial monthly review to regular in month updates with those risks and opportunities identified
- WIP management and accountability, including issue resolution and escalation
- Running of the team WIP/drumbeat meetings ensure accurate completion dates are provided to the material planners
- Issue resolution with the cross functional delivery team (eg MP, ME, Engineering, Quality and Procurement) such as NCRs, emerging design issues, Stop Notes and FAIRs.
- Key IPT/Ops interface
- Financial, tactical and day to day issues, resolution and escalation (T2 attendance + escalation meetings)
- Understand relevant commercial flow downs that are associated with delivery and ensure they have been flowed out to the right teams
- Acts as a filter/barrier to the MPs
- Review delivery performance and highlight candidates for assurance stock holding or kitting, working with the inventory control and/or procurement teams to implement solutions
- OTD and arrears management with the cross functional Ops/PROC and IPTs. Including the generation of materials for reporting
- OTTS management and tracking, run weekly team sessions including MPs, Procurement, Despatch team, investigate RCCA for missed deliveries and lead investigations with CI support
- Support the Production Supervisor and Value Stream Manager in achieving FPY targets
Qualifications:
- Qualifications from HNC/HND level or above or time served experience
Skills:
- Must be a team player with good issue resolution and at times be able to perform under pressure
- Must have good financial awareness,
- Good/Proven management and leadership skills
- Experience of delivering product would be beneficial
