Lead Field Service Technician

As a Lead Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service and support to our customers by evaluating, testing, and maintaining complex combustion systems and equipment. You will utilize your technical expertise to identify issues and provide exceptional customer service in the field.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you will work out of our Cleveland, Ohio location on a Remote  work schedule.

As the Lead Field Service Technician,  you will impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by ensuring timely and effective resolution of service requests, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.  You’ll work remotely for our Honeywell facility at various customer locations.  

Travel is a must, expect 70%  to 80% travel requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • After proper Honeywell-specific training, you will be expected to perform testing, maintenance, and preventative maintenance of combustion systems and equipment at customer sites.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure safe system performance, efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers in the field.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction initiatives.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in field service or technical support roles.
  • 3+ years  technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, or software systems relevant to Honeywell products experience.  PLC knowledge is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in inspecting complex technical equipment.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and service management software tools.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing and have the ability to travel 70% to 80% to customer sites domestically and occasionally internationally

 

WE VALUE

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field preferred.
  • Experience working in industrial or commercial service environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in field assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
