OCI Strategic Customer Engineering is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager with technical interests to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic outcomes across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure which span highly technical and business-centric delivery. This role is ideal for an accomplished program leader who thrives in highly technical environments, excels at navigating ambiguity, and has a proven ability to deliver complex programs from inception through execution.

As a Principal Program Manager, you will lead programs that span multiple OCI organizations, helping teams prioritize, execute, and deliver initiatives that improve operational excellence, customer success, and strategic business objectives. The work is highly visible, fast-paced, and requires balancing technical complexity with operational and business complexity with organizational alignment.   Basic Qualifications
 
  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field

  • 7+ years of experience in Program Management, Software Engineering, Product Management, or related technical leadership roles

  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs across multiple engineering organizations

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, distributed systems, and software development lifecycles

  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution in complex, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience developing program plans, tracking execution, managing dependencies, and mitigating risks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership

  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across diverse organizations

  • Strong customer focus with the ability to balance technical priorities and business objectives

     

  • Preferred Qualifications
     

  • MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management or engineering leadership

  • Experience working with cloud-native architectures and large-scale distributed systems

  • Experience managing strategic customer programs or enterprise cloud initiatives

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and modern software development methodologies

  • Experience working directly with executive stakeholders and large enterprise customers







  Responsibilities
Program Leadership
 
  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs from planning through execution and successful delivery.

  • Define program goals, milestones, success metrics, and execution plans that align with organizational priorities.

  • Coordinate engineering, product management, operations, and customer success teams to deliver high-impact initiatives.

  • Drive program governance, status reporting, executive communications, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Identify program risks, dependencies, and execution challenges while developing proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Establish scalable program management processes and mechanisms that improve organizational execution.

  • Manage competing priorities and ensure successful delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Break down complex technical initiatives into manageable workstreams with clear ownership and accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
 
  • Build strong partnerships across OCI engineering, product, operations, support, and executive leadership teams.

  • Drive alignment across organizations to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate technical and business discussions that enable informed decision-making and accelerate delivery.

  • Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Foster collaboration across geographically distributed teams and organizations.

Operational Excellence
 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, remove operational bottlenecks, and increase organizational efficiency.

  • Develop repeatable mechanisms, dashboards, and reporting processes that improve program visibility and execution.

  • Lead post-launch reviews and continuous improvement efforts to enhance program delivery.

  • Support strategic planning activities, roadmap execution, and organizational prioritization.

  • Help teams scale effectively by implementing best practices for program management and operational excellence.

Customer & Business Impact
 
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer priorities and translate them into executable programs.

  • Drive initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.

  • Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and organizational priorities while making informed tradeoff decisions.

  • Ensure programs deliver measurable value for both OCI and its strategic customers.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $90,100 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
