As a Senior Due Diligence Officer, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based periodic and event-driven Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews of customers across the Company's portfolio, in line with UK and Latvian regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The initial scope of the role covers CDD/EDD requirements applicable under UK and Latvian regulatory frameworks. The scope may subsequently expand to additional jurisdictions and products.

Your role at xpate:

  • Perform risk-based periodic and event-driven CDD and EDD reviews for clients across Company’s portfolio.
  • Analyse corporate documentation, financial statements, banking and acquiring transaction activity, licensing conditions, corporate registers, legal documents, sanctions and adverse media findings, beneficial ownership structures including complex structures, merchant website compliance, possible transaction laundering indicators and other relevant internal and external information sources.
  • Assess the customer's overall risk profile by combining KYC/KYB information with monitoring findings, including transaction behavior, fraud, chargebacks, refunds, declines, adverse media, licensing and regulatory risks, and determine whether the customer's actual activity remains consistent with its approved business model and expected transaction profile.
  • Prepare information requests within the scope of CDD/EDD activities and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Communicate with internal teams and other stakeholders to obtain relevant information and facilitate efficient completion of due diligence reviews.
  • Document due diligence findings in a clear, structured and evidence-based manner, including customer risk assessments and recommendations regarding customer acceptance, continuation or additional risk mitigation measures.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures consistent with the Company's risk appetite, regulatory obligations and operational capabilities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CDD/EDD methodologies, procedures, templates and guidance, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Support implementation of regulatory changes and participate in compliance-related projects as required.
  • Prepare internal suspicious activity referrals for MLRO review.

We’re ready to meet you, if…
