Procurement Specialist Senior
Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, you will manage the purchasing of fruits, seeds, and tree nuts with consideration to price, quality, logistics, reliability, and supply continuity. You will be responsible for market analysis, supplier management, negotiations, contract strategy and execution, master data stewardship, transactional support, and reporting. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify value opportunities, develop supply strategies, improve processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships that support business objectives. You will develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned ingredients in alignment with approved procurement programs, ensuring internal customer needs are met through effective supplier selection, contract management, risk mitigation, and value-focused purchasing decisions.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned ingredients to support cost, quality, service, and continuity objectives.
- Analyze market conditions, supply trends, commodity drivers, and logistics impacts to inform purchasing decisions and risk mitigation plans.
- Lead supplier selection and relationship management, including competitive bidding, quality, service, innovation, and contract negotiations and execution.
- Maintain accurate procurement master data and support transactional excellence through SAP, material requirements planning, and related digital tools.
- Identify and deliver productivity, cost savings, working capital, and process improvement opportunities across the procurement portfolio.
- Resolve supply, pricing, contract, and supplier performance issues using sound judgment and a sense of urgency.
- Use analytics and reporting tools, including Power BI and Microsoft Excel, to monitor performance, support decision-making, and communicate insights.
- Champion continuous improvement and change management initiatives that strengthen procurement capabilities, processes, and business partnerships.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor's degree required; professional certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, commodity management, or finance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of market economics, cost structures, and value analysis to support fact-based sourcing decisions.
- Experience negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract development and execution.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP and Power BI preferred.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and sourcing strategies in ingredient, agricultural, food manufacturing, or consumer products categories preferred.

Compensation
Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
