Impact and Responsibilities

We’re looking for a People and Talent specialist to lead our 100% direct hiring strategy, deliver a seamless employee lifecycle, and drive continuous improvement across our people practices.

If you’re passionate about finding great people, shaping workplace culture, and using real employee insights to upgrade the team experience, this is your chance to make a tangible impact on our growing business.

  • 100% Direct Recruitment: Manage end to end hiring across the business. You’ll use creative direct sourcing (LinkedInRecruiter, network outreach, referrals) to build active pipelines with zero agency spend.

  • Candidate Experience: Direct high-touch recruitment pipelines and interview coordination in our ATS, ensuring every hiring process reflects our high standards and keeps candidates engaged.

  • Onboarding Journey: Champion the end-to-end onboarding experience managing background checks, inductions, and initial training to guarantee every new hire has a seamless, high-impact start.

  • Employee Lifecycle: Be the go-to person for day-to-day employee queries, lifecycle administration, contract updates, and offboarding exit interviews.

  • Culture & Belonging: Champion an inclusive workplace culture by organizing engaging social and cultural events, facilitating employee-led inclusion initiatives, and maintaining equitable company policies.

  • HR Tools & Benefits: Manage our HR tech stack, vendor renewals, and employee benefits to ensure smooth operations and competitive offerings.

  • People Insight: Capture and analyze insights across the entire employee lifecycle (from eNPS data, candidate feedback to exit interviews) to continuously refine our internal processes and retention strategies.

What we’re looking for in you

  • A proven track record in direct candidate sourcing and full-cycle recruitment, with a knack for finding and closing top-tier talent without agency support.

  • Authentic passion and confidence in driving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, actively embedding fair, bias-free practices into hiring pipelines and workplace initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience gathering employee lifecycle data and feedback, as well as assisting with key HR projects like policy updates and benefits reviews.

  • Exceptional ability to balance fast-paced recruitment pipelines alongside day-to-day HR operations and employee touchpoints.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to build trusted, positive relationships across all levels of the business.

Our Promise: Shieldpay is an equal opportunities employer. For Shieldpay building a fair and transparent workforce begins with the recruitment process that does not discriminate on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age. We offer flexible working options, such as flexible hours and hybrid work, to support our employees' work-life balance
