Team Overview
The Services team works closely together to set PowerSchool customers up for ongoing success through post-implementation support, troubleshooting, consultation on system setup options, and training on features and functionality. The team offers cross-portfolio support, all while meeting organizational objectives for revenue, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Application Consultant – BusinessPlus
Position Summary
The Application Consultant – BusinessPlus is responsible for implementing, configuring, training, and supporting the BusinessPlus ERP system, with a primary focus on Finance, Procurement or related modules. This role partners with clients to translate business requirements into system configurations, ensuring successful deployment and long-term system optimization.
The consultant serves as a functional expert, working closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business needs and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
- Lead or support implementation of BusinessPlus modules (Finance, Procurement, and related modules.)
- Configure system settings, tables, and business rules based on client requirements
- Translate functional requirements into system configuration and design specifications
- Support data conversion activities, including validation and reconciliation assistance
Client Engagement
- Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement-gathering meetings
- Provide expert guidance on best practices and system capabilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout implementation and post-go-live
- Manage client expectations and communicate progress, risks, and issues
Testing & Validation
- Develop and execute test plans, including unit, system, and UAT support
- Troubleshoot functional issues and collaborate with technical teams for resolution
- Ensure system configurations meet business and compliance requirements
Training & Documentation
- Develop training materials and deliver end-user and administrator training
- Create and maintain clear documentation, including process flows and configuration guides
- Support knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams
Post-Go-Live Support
- Provide go-live support and stabilization assistance
- Assist with issue resolution, enhancements, and optimization requests
- Support ongoing client adoption and system improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7+ years of experience implementing or supporting ERP systems
- Hands-on experience with BusinessPlus (preferred) or similar ERP platforms
- Strong functional knowledge in at least one area:
- Finance (GL, AP, AR, Budgeting)
- Experience with data conversion, testing, and system configuration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with public sector or K-12 clients
- Familiarity with payroll compliance requirements (multi-state preferred)
- Knowledge of reporting tools and queries within BusinessPlus
- Exposure to integrations, interfaces, or data migration tools
- Project implementation experience in a consulting environment

Work Environment
- Plano, TX location preferred. Remote with potential travel for client engagements

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant and related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Travel occasionally, up to 25-30%, for key moments such as team summits, training, customer meetings, company events, etc., with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.
- Additional experience may be substitute for an advanced Degree.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $101,500 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
