Our mission is to ensure every item produced lives its longest life possible.<br></span></p><strong>π About the role</strong><p><span>We're looking for a </span><strong>Business Development Growth Lead</strong><span> β a player-coach who will both personally drive meaningful new pipeline </span><em>and</em><span> level up how our entire outbound engine runs. This is a rare blend of individual contribution, people leadership, and process innovation, and it's one of the highest-leverage roles on our go-to-market team.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>You'll carry a personal pipeline target and begin by managing one direct report (a BDR). Together, the two of you will </span><strong>own our top-of-funnel strategy and goals</strong><span>. Just as importantly, you'll be the person who reinvents how we prospect β bringing an AI-first mindset to sourcing, research, messaging, and workflow so that our small team punches well above its weight.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>This role reports directly to the VP of Sales and works from our SF office three days a week.<br></span></p><strong>π» What you'll do</strong><ul><li><strong>Carry a number.</strong><span> Personally identify, prospect, and open opportunities with world-class e-commerce brands, contributing directly to the team's net new opened-pipeline target.</span></li><li><strong>Coach and develop.</strong><span> Manage one BDR through call reviews, shadowing, messaging refinement, and structured weekly 1:1s β raising their performance and helping them grow fast. Potential to build a larger team as the company grows.</span></li><li><strong>Own the pipeline number.</strong><span> Be jointly accountable with your rep for the net new opened-pipeline target, running forecasting for pipeline creation and keeping the team on pace.</span></li><li><strong>Rethink the entire outreach landscape with AI.</strong><span> This is the defining part of the role. You'll reimagine our outbound motion from the ground up β using AI and LLMs to redesign how we source, research, prioritize, personalize, and sequence outreach end to end. We want someone with a deep, hands-on understanding of where AI can replace or augment manual work at every stage of the funnel.</span></li><li><strong>Build an AI-powered team that outputs like 3+ BDRs.</strong><span> The goal isn't just efficiency β it's leverage. You'll architect AI-driven workflows so that you and one entry-level BDR can mimic the quality </span><em>and</em><span> volume of a 3+ person BDR team, without sacrificing the personalization and craft that make outreach convert.</span></li><li><strong>Own the tooling and data.</strong><span> Maintain CRM hygiene, track KPIs, and get the most out of our sales stack (HubSpot, Apollo, and the AI tools you'll help us adopt).</span></li><li><strong>Partner cross-functionally.</strong><span> Work closely with the VP of Sales, Account Executives, Marketing Org, Operations, and C-Suite to refine the end-to-end sales process and share what's working across the team.</span></li><li><strong>Partner with Operations on data, scoring, and data hygiene.</strong><span> Work hand-in-hand with our Head of Operations to build and refine the account scoring model, lead enrichment workflows, and data pipelines that feed prospecting ensuring the AI-driven outreach engine is targeting the right brands with the right signals and setting up ways to ensure our data is clean and accurate.</span></li><li><strong>Build the culture.</strong><span> Play a key role in shaping our sales culture and team norms as the company grows β and take on (or invent) special projects to help Treet grow.<br></span></li></ul><strong>π― About you</strong><p><span>You'd be our dream candidate ifβ¦</span></p><ul><li><span>You have </span><strong>4+ years of sales development / outbound experience</strong><span>, including some experience coaching, mentoring, or leading other reps (formal management experience is a plus, not a requirement).</span></li><li><span>You've personally been a </span><strong>top-performing BDR/SDR</strong><span> and still love the craft of opening opportunities β you lead from the front.</span></li><li><span>You're </span><strong>deeply AI-native.</strong><span> You don't just use ChatGPT to draft emails β you think in systems, and you have a strong point of view on how AI can be woven through the entire outreach landscape to make a tiny team output like a much larger one.
