Job ID: LP_00027057-2652563Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThis is a 0.4 FTE position, scheduled to work 16 hours per week. Performs a variety of patient services, administrative duties and general office work for the Radiology Department. Assists with patient positioning for MRI, Diagnostic X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, and Nuclear Medicine procedures. Conducts screenings for MRI and CT Safety and Contrast Administration and enforces safety measures in the MRI and CT environment. Provides aid during the capture of high-quality diagnostic X-ray images, chaperones sensitive ultrasound procedures and MRI visual checks, and facilitates communication with internal and external personnel to coordinate care and troubleshoot issues related to radiology patients and/or equipment. Orders and maintains Radiology supplies, turns over prep rooms and maintains patient flow throughout the radiology department. Explains procedures, verifies forms, transfers patients safely, positions them correctly, and provides any post-exam instructions within specified timeframes. Assists in accurately documenting procedures to ensure the protection of patient health information (PHI) and the integrity of data. This position involves working collaboratively under the guidance of department leaders, technologists, and nurses to provide exceptional patient care and uphold the highest standards in medical imaging.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe essential functions listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification.
